Here is a little bit about Toni...

Coming from a bit more of a non conventional background, Toni is joining ID ARTSY from a career in the field of visual merchandising. Born Antonella Durantine from parents of Nicaraguan and Italian descent, she grew up always enjoying being creative and gravitating toward the arts. Attending college in Philadelphia for Design with a minor in Fine Art, she gained exposure to different artistic mediums. These ranged from painting, screen printing, to more 3 dimensional studies such as woodwork, sculpture, and even welding. Through this, she was able to explore the arts and really refine her own personal aesthetic.

After Graduating, Toni returned to Washington DC where she began working a career in retail management. She put her degree to use and worked in tandem with onsite display artists to build installations and maintain fashion concepts within retail stores. Having the ability to turn concepts to reality and completely transform an environment was extremely rewarding for her.

As Toni’s career field came to evolve and her family grew with a husband and 2 young sons, she had a desire to seek out something different. This was her beginning into the world of Micropigmentation. In 2018 after doing her research and seeing how cosmetic tattooing procedures change someone’s life, she wanted to help build confidence for those with alopecia, cancer, trichotillomania, those with other medical conditions, as well as those who are looking to improve their overall appearance. She knew that with the proper permanent cosmetic training she could provide beautiful and natural results for her future clients. Toni found her passion for permanent cosmetic tattooing and pursued it full force. In 2019 She attended and received her primary Permanent and Corrective Cosmetics education and certification from Beau Institute. She then apprenticed with Lizzeth ID ARTSY Founder + Artist for over a year, and in 2020 became a Permanent Cosmetic Tattoo Artist at ID ARTSY. In 2022 she

Meticulous and perfectionist by nature, Toni’s main goal is not to change your appearance, but to enhance it. Visual merchandising is heavily grounded in 3 dimensional design, all elements have to be considered to contribute to the overall result. This is the approach Toni takes with all her clients, giving them each a customized look based on skin tone, facial structure for their desired end result.

Toni is multi-state licensed in both in Virginia and Washington D.C. as a Tattooer and Permanent Cosmetic Tattooer. She maintains her annual certification in Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP) safe practices and has met all State, County, and local regulations.
